Philip Vardon founded True North Marine Surveyors & Adjusters Inc. in 2011. He has over 15 years of experience as a deep sea mariner with international companies like Denholm Ship Management and V. Ships where he served as Chief Officer. Philip has been an instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology where he instructed mariners on Cargo work, Meteorology and the use of Radar, GMDSS and ECDIS. Philip is a richly experienced Surveyor/Adjuster who has worked with Mclarens Canada, Claimspro CSL Global (Canada) and Regional Reporting Inc. He is well known in the insurance industry and has used his excellent communications skills and his many years of experience to investigate losses, assess loss and liability, advise clients, oversee loading and stowage arrangements and conduct ship inspections.
David has several years of experience as a ship’s officer on Cape, Panamax and Handy size bulk carriers. He joined McLarens Canada in 1998 as a Marine Surveyor and was with them for seven years before joining the Toronto Fire Services. David currently serves as a Marine Captain keeping the waters of Toronto Harbour safe. When not on the fire boat, David is a dedicated and proficient marine surveyor. He has worked with companies like McLarens, Claimspro and most recently CSL Global (Canada) as a Senior Marine Surveyor and is well known in the insurance industry.
Augustine brings with him more than 10 years of Marine Engineering experience with international shipping companies. His expertise lies with the maintenance and operation of marine machinery. He is at home in the engine room of cargo ships where his focus was main propulsion plants of large ships, diesel generators, air compressors, boilers, pumps and refrigeration systems. He has supervised crews of 15 or more and carried out inspection and maintenance of various machinery on board ships.
